Wedding Car Hire London Venues
The venue determines the vehicle. The right car at Claridge’s is not the right car at Chelsea Old Town Hall. The right car at Westminster Abbey is not the right car at Hedsor House. Each of the five venues below has its own guide – vehicle recommendation, kerbside knowledge, photo stop location and the specific details that only come from having been there before. Our wedding venue car hire guides exist so the booking is right for the address, not just right in general.
The venue determines the vehicle. Five of London's finest wedding venues - each with its own guide.
Five venue guides - the vehicle, the kerbside and the photo stop at each one
A wedding car booking at a specific venue is not the same as a generic wedding car booking. The Phantom suits Claridge’s. The Ghost suits Chelsea Old Town Hall. The Phantom is the only appropriate choice at Westminster Abbey. The Cullinan handles Hedsor House in a way the Phantom cannot. The Nash portico at One Marylebone was made for the Phantom’s coach doors.
Each guide below covers the specific vehicle recommendation for that venue, the kerbside approach confirmed in advance by the chauffeur, the post-ceremony photo stop within five to fifteen minutes and the packages that suit the specific morning structure of each occasion. Browse the venue guides and follow the link to the full page for your venue.
- Claridge's - Phantom on Brook Street, dark green canopy, Green Park 5 min
- Chelsea Old Town Hall - Ghost on King's Road, Albert Bridge 12 min
- Westminster Abbey - Phantom only, Parliament Square, direct Abbey events team liaison
- Hedsor House - Cullinan on gravel driveway, estate grounds photography included
- One Marylebone - Phantom at Nash portico, Regent's Park 3 min
Wedding Car Hire London Venues: Five Guides, Five Levels of Specific Knowledge
These five venue guides cover the most significant and most frequently booked wedding venues across London and the Home Counties in our portfolio. Each one is a complete guide to wedding car hire at that specific address – not a general guide to wedding cars in that area.
The guides are built from the specific knowledge that accumulates from driving to the same venue many times: the kerbside that the chauffeur confirms on the advance visit, the photo stop that the Full Morning Package routes as standard, the hotel entrance protocol that is confirmed in advance with the concierge team, the Abbey events staff that the coordinator contacts before the wedding day.
If your venue is not listed below, use the area guides or contact us directly. We cover over two hundred venues across London and the Home Counties and the answer to “do you know this venue?” is almost always yes.

Principle
Venue determines vehicle
Beyond the five venue guides, our area guides cover the most significant wedding venues across Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Surrey and Hertfordshire with the same level of venue-specific knowledge. If your venue falls within one of these areas, the area guide is the right starting point alongside this page.
Every venue booking – whether from a dedicated venue guide or an enquiry we handle directly – includes the same foundation: a named coordinator, a chauffeur who visits the venue before the wedding, a fixed all-inclusive price and an on-time arrival guarantee that applies regardless of the address.

The five venue guides - what each one covers
Claridge's and One Marylebone - Phantom at the Nash and Brook Street
The dark green canopy on Brook Street. The Nash portico on Marylebone Road. Both venues suit the Phantom’s full scale and coach doors – for different reasons and with different photo stops. Green Park from Claridge’s, Regent’s Park from One Marylebone.
Chelsea Old Town Hall - Ghost on the compact forecourt
The most requested civil ceremony venue in London. The Ghost’s proportions suit the King’s Road forecourt. The Beauford in summer. Albert Bridge twelve minutes away and included as standard.
Westminster Abbey and Hedsor House - scale and grounds
Westminster Abbey: Phantom only, Parliament Square, direct Abbey events team liaison. Hedsor House: Cullinan on gravel, estate driveway cortege, grounds photography – no separate photo stop needed.
A 20% deposit confirms the vehicle and the venue date. The balance is due 30 days before the wedding. A 48-hour hold reserves the preferred vehicle while the quote is considered. For Hedsor House, the mileage supplement is also confirmed at deposit.
What the deposit confirms at every venue
- Vehicle reserved for the venue date
- Chauffeur venue visit is scheduled
- Hotel or venue liaison is initiated where required
- The quoted price is fixed until the invoice
Claridge’s, Westminster Abbey and Hedsor House peak Saturdays fill nine to twelve months ahead
The most significant wedding venues in the guides fill first. Browse the venue page for your address and hold the date.
Peak season Saturdays at the five venues in these guides fill nine to twelve months ahead. Westminster Abbey weddings should be enquired as soon as the Abbey date is confirmed. Hedsor House and Claridge’s fill at the same pace. A 48-hour hold costs nothing at any venue.
Why venue-specific knowledge matters
Why Every Venue Has Its Own Guide - and Why the Same Car at a Different Venue Is a Different Decision
A Rolls-Royce Phantom at Westminster Abbey is not the same decision as a Rolls-Royce Phantom at Chelsea Old Town Hall. At Westminster Abbey, the Phantom is the only appropriate vehicle and the kerbside is managed with the Abbey’s own events staff. At Chelsea Old Town Hall, the Phantom is possible but the Ghost is the more appropriate choice for the compact King’s Road forecourt and the chauffeur confirms the specific stopping position on an advance visit to King’s Road.
The knowledge that makes a venue booking work is not about the vehicle – it is about the address. The dark green canopy at Claridge’s. The loading bay on the south side of Brook Street that affects the approach. The lake bridge at Brocket Hall that the photographer positions for. The Cadogan Place turning sequence at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. None of these are general knowledge. They are specific and they come from having been there before.
Each venue guide below documents exactly this knowledge for the five most significant venues in our portfolio. Browse the guide for your venue and the specific advice for that address.

Two more venue guides - Hedsor House and One Marylebone
Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire
Cullinan on gravel. Forty-five minutes from London via the M4. Estate driveway cortege for two or three vehicles. Grounds photography as the post-ceremony stop – no separate location needed. Mileage supplement fixed at booking. One of the most visually distinctive estate wedding arrivals in our portfolio.
One Marylebone, Marylebone Road
Phantom at the Nash portico. Marylebone Road kerbside confirmed on the advance visit. Regent’s Park three minutes away and included as standard in the Full Morning Package. The most architecturally striking licensed wedding venue in central London.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the vehicle recommendation change between venues?
Because the vehicle needs to fit the address, not the occasion. The Phantom at Claridge’s suits the wide Brook Street frontage and the dark green canopy. The Ghost at Chelsea Old Town Hall suits the compact King’s Road forecourt. At Westminster Abbey, the Phantom is the only recommendation because nothing else belongs at the Great West Door. The vehicle recommendation reflects the specific address, not a general preference.
What makes Claridge's different from other hotel venues?
The dark green canopy on Brook Street creates a specific colour contrast with a white Phantom that photographs without direction. The wide Brook Street frontage gives the Phantom a long approach that the hotel entrance is designed for. The loading bay on the south side of Brook Street affects the approach and is avoided by the chauffeur after the advance visit. These specifics are documented in the Claridge’s guide.
Is the Phantom always right for Westminster Abbey?
Yes – unambiguously and without reservation. The Phantom is the only vehicle we recommend for a Westminster Abbey wedding. Its coach doors, its scale and the history it carries make it the only car that belongs at the Great West Door. The Ghost would not be wrong in a general sense – but it is wrong at this address.
Why is the Ghost recommended at Chelsea Old Town Hall instead of the Phantom?
The forecourt on King’s Road is compact – wider than it appears from the pavement but not the broad sweep of a hotel entrance. The Ghost’s proportions suit the kerbside without requiring the manoeuvring space the Phantom demands. The Ghost is the right vehicle for this specific forecourt. The Phantom is possible but requires careful positioning confirmed on the advance visit.
What does the chauffeur confirm on the advance venue visit?
The kerbside position – the exact stopping point where the door opens toward the venue entrance. The hotel entrance protocol at hotel venues – the concierge team contact, the timing agreed with doormen. The Abbey events team liaison at Westminster Abbey. The approach route that avoids specific constraints – the Brook Street loading bay, the Cadogan Place turning sequence. And the photo stop route from the venue to the reception.
Which venue is the most significant booking you handle?
Westminster Abbey. It is the rarest and most significant venue booking we manage. Every detail of the arrival – the liaison with the Abbey events team, the Parliament Square approach, the kerbside at the Great West Door – is confirmed directly with the Abbey’s own staff. The Phantom is held for one occasion at a time and is confirmed as soon as the Abbey date is known.
What if my venue is not in these five guides?
Use the area guides. Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Surrey and Hertfordshire each have a dedicated area guide covering the most significant wedding venues in that area. If your venue is not in the area guide, contact us with the address – we have been to over two hundred venues and the answer to “do you know this venue?” is almost always yes.
Do all venue bookings include a photo stop?
Yes – each venue guide includes the post-ceremony photo stop as part of the Full Morning Package. Green Park or Berkeley Square from Claridge’s. Albert Bridge from Chelsea Old Town Hall. St James’s Park from Westminster Abbey. Regent’s Park from One Marylebone. Estate grounds at Hedsor House. Each one is built into the route and the timing before the morning begins.
How do I book once I have read the venue guide?
Request a quote online or call us directly. We return quotes within two hours and hold dates for 48 hours at no cost. Share the venue name, the ceremony date and the package you have in mind and we will return a fixed all-inclusive quote with the vehicle recommendation for that specific address.
